We've completed a Net Zero improvement project at Creation, installing energy-efficient LED lighting and infrared heating throughout our premises.

These upgrades are designed to help us use energy more efficiently and reduce the environmental impact of running our building, while keeping it a welcoming place for our makers, team and visitors.

Why throw something away when you could give it a whole new story?

We're big believers in making the most of what we've already got. Through our upholstery and soft furnishings activities, we champion furniture restoration, reupholstery and upcycling.

Giving existing pieces a new lease of life can help reduce waste, save useful materials and celebrate the skill involved in making something beautiful again.

Across our emporium, independent makers and small businesses bring their own creativity and craftsmanship to the mix. It's about choosing thoughtfully, valuing quality and appreciating the people behind the things we buy.

Creation brings together more than 90 independent makers, crafters and small businesses under one roof, alongside eight resident artists.

We give creative people somewhere to showcase their work, find new customers and develop their businesses — without having to open a shop of their own.

We also employ seven members of staff and work alongside two volunteers, contributing to local employment and community life.

When visitors choose to spend with independent businesses, more of that support goes directly to the people whose ideas, skills and hard work help make Saltburn special.
